Hey FRIEND,

Kara here.

I believe in capturing the real, raw moments that, when you look at your wedding photos years from now, will transport you back to the heart-racing, head-over-heels emotions of the day and you’ll fall in love all over again.

And I’m not just talking about the moment after the “I do,” but about all the moments you may miss while you’re focusing on your new other half. Like toddlers on the dance floor and that little look your parents give each other when they think no one else is looking. Each of these snapshots is a part of the story of your marriage and it’s my mission to preserve them for you to cherish.

I believe photography has the power to strengthen your marriage.

As a Catholic Christian, I strongly believe in the Sacrament of marriage and it’s God-given purpose to forge a pathway to heaven. When my husband, John and I got married, we believed that at the center of our day was the sacredness our sacrament and the support that surrounded us. Every couple deserves to have someone there on their day that views marriage as the sacred union that it is.

From the moment I first borrowed my mom’s DSLR camera, I’ve been enamored  with capturing the in-between moments. The milliseconds between movements that show the true, raw emotion and artistry are what make my heart sing. I love the power that the camera gives me to capture your relationship from an outsider’s perspective. Presenting your unique love story as a gift to this world.

Today, I see working with my clients as a form of ministry. I use this gift to make connections with couples who see their marriage as a path to heaven, to serve those who understand that marriage is about polishing off the rough edges. With my camera in hand, I strive to capture the moments that will get you through the inevitable harder days, allowing those cherished memories to call to mind the vows you spoke to one another and the joy that you experienced that day.

Loryn is my middle name and was made just for me. A unique spelling of the name “Lauren” but pronounced like “LOR-in”, it is a combination of my parents’ names: Roy and Lyn. So much of who I am comes from them and since my dad passed away several years ago, it’s a way to keep him alive and a part of who I am today.
